Hero Definition Essay

Definition of a hero essay should reflect quite a lot of different factors. For example, you may write about personal hero essay or tragic hero essay. In any case, you should stick to the topic precisely. Today, we would like to speak about not only hero definition essay, but also incorporate qualities of a hero into an essay.

All the people are different and they differently understand different concepts. However, almost every person will give you kind of the same definition of what he understands under the “hero” term. Hero – is the one, who is courageous, strong, brave, always ready to help and to save people’s lives. In addition to these qualities, some may add intelligence, kindness, understanding, as well as many others.  However, understanding of the heroism has changed during centuries. In middle ages the understanding hero was close to the knight. Hero was a person, who was brave and strong, who could possess battle skills with swords. However, the time went on and the face of the modern hero has changed and improved quite significantly. Nowadays, hero is the person, who has super power. At least, in such a way, heroes are usually being described in books and films. Today, hero – is the person, who can break walls with a single hit, who has perfect intuition, who can see and hear perfectly well, and can save all the humanity from the cruel forces.  Such heroes as Batman, Superman and Cat woman have affected our minds strongly. We do not consider Robin hood such a hero any longer. Why do you think it happened? Partially, it is because of the modern innovations and influence of social media. If in ancient times, hero was an ordinary person, today it is a person or a half person, with super power. What happened? The problem is in the fact that people stopped believing in themselves and in their own powers. It is very sad, because today, people believe that only superman, who is strong enough, can save the world from evil. That is not true. We should cherish another understanding of heroism in our life. Each of us can become a hero. It may seem to be funny, but it is so. Each of us can be brave, helpful and attentive to the needs ad problems of others.

In my opinion, the real example of the hero is my father. He does everything to protect our family, to make us happy and he gives us the feeling of being in safety. I think, that these are the most important qualities, that the real hero should possess. Each of us has his own example of the hero, as well as his individual understanding of this concept. In my opinion, being a hero is possible for each of us. We just need to do our best to work out the required qualities, and each of  us can be called a real hero, at least within the family.
